Essential Oils for General Pain

Lavender - muscle relaxant, pain killer, cooling and soothing.
Sweet Marjoram - (NOT Spanish marjoram) - muscle relaxant, pain killer, sedative. Fantastic for stiff aching joints.  

Roman Chamomile - soothing, painkilling, sedative.       

Benzoin - sedative, soothing, comforting.

For Pain Relief: lavender, marjoram, petitgrain, Roman and German chamomile, clary sage, lemongrass, helichrysum, peppermint, ginger and black pepper.

Lavender with peppermint and helichrysum creates an anti-inflammatory synergy. Other anti-inflammatory oils include nutmeg, balsam fir, white fir, and wintergreen.

For Stress/Anxiety Relief: Rose, frankincense, clary sage, sweet orange, bergamot, grapefruit, ylang ylang, sandalwood, neroli, marjoram, petitgrain, mandarin, lavender, geranium, tangerine, jasmine.

For Peaceful Sleep: Lavender, neroli, jasmine, marjoram, Roman chamomile.

For a Feeling of Harmony and Safety: Frankincense, lavender, rose, mandarin, neroli, helichrysum.

For Headaches: Lavender, peppermint, marjoram, basil, Roman chamomile.

For Increased Circulation: Rosemary, ginger, black pepper, peppermint, lemongrass, geranium.

Essential oils for Fibromyalgia Pain

Same oil as above but also these:

Ylang Ylang - calms the "fight or flight" and a sedative

Essential oils for Back pain

Essential oils for Neuralgia or Nerve pain

Peppermint, Geranium, Clove Oil, and Eucalyptus are best for nerve pain.
